Just a warning though. Inside you'll find Neopets Rants (though probably not so much anymore), Purple Hippopotamuses, and my basic complaining or jubilation, as the day permits. My mood...tends to ricochet off the walls a bit. I may be peppy one minute then crappy the next...but yeah, it all balances out eventually, I think.

I am an escape game addict xD so of course, I frequent EscapeGames24. Not everything they post is an escape game, though, and sometime some really cute puzzle games show up. And I just loved this one!

Okay, so, my Dad is going to help me build a new computer over spring break, since mine seems to be essentially dying. He's a Systems Engineer, and does a lot with circuitry and programming and such, but he's never built an entire computer before.

So my friend, Sam, promised he'd help me make sure we have everything we need. Thing is, he hasn't. I've been asking him for two days now to look at the list Dad helped me put together, and anytime I bring up computer stuff, he just stops responding. I'm getting frustrated because we need to get this stuff ordered so it gets here in time, and I've already missed out on one rebate because he won't reply....actually, looks like I've missed out on the whole item, it's now out of stock.

SO. I know some of you on my friends' list are tech-savvy and know computer things. Would anyone be willing to take a look and tell me if I'm missing anything?

He had an extra question about the power supply, too. He said..

"I'm looking at some of these spec sheets trying to make sure we're getting the right size power supply, but am not finding information on power requirements. How deep do I dig to find this info?

For example, here is the video card I/m looking at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150229. Where does it tell me how much power I need to budget for it?"

He was also concerned about getting the memory to work. He tried to explain it
to me but I'm not sure I understood...he wanted to know if there would be
problems, I think.

If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it. I'm tired of trying to squeeze help out of Sam.

Saturday & Sunday
Mum started crying when she left us at the airport. My God. Mum, I'm 21, I can handle this.

There were birds flying around the Columbus airport. Cute ^_^

Okay. Damn flight delays, maybe I can't handle quite so much. In Cinci, we're told our plane is broken and won't fly. So we're getting one from Atlanta. 2hours delay.

Then another hour gets added on. Something's wrong with the fueling on the Atlanta plane.

Then two hours later, we get told that we're being flown down to Atlanta to meet that plane when it finally gets fixed. On the plane they told us was broken. But we've got to wait an hour for them to burn off fuel so that they'll be light enough to land in Atlanta.

Finally get to Atlanta, finally fly to London. I'm too tired to explain the rest of this shit.

Because of all the damn delays, we had to wait for an hour-ish at the airport for Jazz to meet us. Stupid airline, killed 8-9 hours of our first day. Supposed to arrive at 9-ish, plane got in at around 4pm instead, thru customs by 5-ish, called Jazz who got there around 6. I think. I don't know, the day's mostly a blur now.

He took us to the shisha bar. Seems extremely determined to get me drunk this week =P We'll see, boy. Chips (fries! xD) and salsa, yum, and a...fruit daquiri. Will have to check spelling on that later, but it was good :3 Oh, and we met Jared, another Mapler :)

It's funny, I can actually handle being around that smoke decently well. Seems to just be the cigarette/cigar smoke that really gets to me.

Anyhow, it's late, we want to get moving tomorrow. Gnight :3

Tuesday
Haha, last night. I'd had more to drink than ever before...didn't get DRUNK, but I was still a bit spinny. Kait shocked me, I had no idea she could drink like that. Sierra spent the night falling down. xD Jazz (unwillingly) ended up getting us all roses. =* I hope they let me take it back to the states.

Earlier yesterday, we toured Greenwich. It's so pretty here, with all the old buildings and pretty green parks. We toured the Queen's House, and the Royal Observatory. OMG CLOCKS AND TELESCOPES. I was in heaven.

Lunch was...I can't remember what it was called, some sort of sausage. I'll have to get Jazz to spell it for me later, because even after making him repeat it several times, I have no idea what the word is. It was good =D

Edit: I was just informed that it is called Saveloy.

Then we met Radley, who bought us all drinks.

Uhm. Then we...walked to another bar (where I just had a coke) to wait for Phil :) He's really nice, and sort of quiet like me.

We then went up on the London Eye, took TONS of pictures. Hopefully they all turn out alright. Then back to the shisha bar. More drinks. Enter the spinniness I mentioned before.

Today was focused on Dungeons, it was basically 'Kait's Day.' We went through the London dungeon, which was pretty much an educational haunted house. Jazz has been spoiling us all week - I insisted on buying all the tickets. But good lord they were expensive. xD

I swear those guys were targeting me. Right off the bat, the first person we spoke to singled me out first. And what the hell? I actually had answers. I'm not quite sure what happened there, because I just about died afterwards. Then stuff kept jumping out at me...I was freaked. Really glad when we got out of there. It was fun, but the Jack the Ripper stuff just kinda...grossed me out. WTH @ the beating heart??

After that we walked to a restaurant and got noodles. We could see Tower Bridge and Tower of London from the little plaza area we sat in. Jazz chased the pigeons at us xP *hide* Then we walked across Tower Bridge and around London Tower. Then subway to a really pretty park, full of daffodils, and a little fountain with maple leaves. We met up with Phil again, and walked across to see Buckingham (pronounced Buck-i-nam, I'm told) Palace. Really pretty :3

Then back to Greenwich for curry. Jazz ordered for all of us, mine was really good except for the one damn pepper that burned my mouth out. I got funny looks until Jazz and Kait each took one and tried it, too. When their eyes started to water, they quit making fun of me. =P And then the one really spicy one that isn't on the menu...I dipped my spoon in it (just the tip!) to try some of the sauce. OMFG FIRE. Lips, tongue, everything was burning. Jiminy.

Wednesday
After the curry, I vaguely remember a bar, and a game Jazz was playing. And a cigarette right next to us and not being able to breathe. After that, my head went spinny, and I'm not quite sure what happened.

Kait said Jazz walked us home last night, though. He's such a sweetheart. Especially since, from Kait's attitude with me this morning, I'm guessing I was a pretty big brat about stuff.

My head still kind of hurts, and I don't remember any of it, joy.

I think I'll work on my paper til Jazz gets here.

Wednesday Evening
Jazz came, we went back to his house for the afternoon, mostly taking it easy. We all kind of needed it, we've been so busy all week.

I got to see all sorts of pictures. ^_^ Jazz was a cute kid. But he went and hid some on me ;_; HE DIDN'T GET THEM ALL THOUGH. =P And...I got to talk to Pat a bit :3 and Jazz fed us toast with...marmite on it. Which is really salty and strange tasting. Kait and Sierra hated it. I couldn't decide, after the third bite it was sort of growing on me.

Then we went out for pizza and a movie. Hot Fuzz a 'British comedy,' we were told. And we got to meet Billy :) who seemed quite nice. The movie was good, aside from the gory bits. >.>;; Which Jazz was ready for and turned to laugh when I hid my face. =P Evil boy. He did warn me at the end, though.

Billy's driving scares the hell out of me.

Tomorrow's our last day, it makes me really sad.

Thursday
Our last day ;_; I so don't want to go home. We were a little bit slow getting started today, though. Headed over to Jazz's and crashed for a bit to wait for him to get ready. Sierra and Kait went out for donuts and I played on the computer a bit. xD Jazz finished my last JQ on Maple for me =*

Uhm..
We went out to the Globe Theatre today, to hit one more thing on Kait's list before we had to go. It was really kind of neat..but I didn't like the second story. Just...not enough balance to feel comfortable up there. The stage was beautiful, though.

We wandered through the area around the theatre for a bit, too.

We were supposed to go to a comedy show tonight, but by the time we got back to Jazz's to get the tickets it was a bit late for that xD We ended up starting a movie at his house, then meeting Darren and going to a pub. We all found it highly amusing how much he liked how we Americans said his name. xD Apparently our accent is sexy.

Also had a talk with Sierra, got some things worked out. Pity it took until our last night to straighten things out. :)

Oh. And Jazz finally succeeded, but not overly. Happy boy? Was it what you expected? Was it as amusing as you hoped? xD But I wasn't that bad off, so no making up stories =P

Friday
*cries* Flight home. I SO want to stay. Sierra and Jazz rode to the airport with us to see us off. Checked our luggage...and said good bye. Huge hugs from both of them...

And now we're on the plane. I'm watching Night at the Museum and finishing up my journal. Then I'll probably work on my paper until my battery dies. Or just play a game.

I want to go back ;_; Maybe next time I won't have a 'chaperone' :3 and won't have to spend a fortune on a hotel.
Or maybe someone should come see me :o :o
West Laf's not too thrilling, but we could always hit Chicago or Indy ^_^
